In view of the suicide squad bullet scene, I envisioned a missile collision with a bullet in slow motion, where the missile will explode creating a shattered into pieces scene upon contact with the bullet and a subsequent explosion accompanied with smoke.
Here is the first attempt at an RBD destruction and pyro sim (Smoke and Explosion), which was built in Houdini and Unreal ( Explosions and smoke were rendered in Houdini as textures and applied using Niagara in Unreal, and the destroyed geometry was exported as an Alembic and was applied as a geometry cache in Unreal ), and rendered in mantra and Unreal Sequencer. There are still some technical issues to fix, so keep in mind that this project is still a work in progress.
